Barassie Primary pupils play safe with animation success

Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSO) at Barassie Primary School have been rewarded for their road safety efforts, and were presented with a certificate after entering a Christmas E-Card Animation competition organised by Road Safety Scotland.

The national competition was open to all schools in Scotland.Councillor Peter Convery, Sustainability and Environment Portfolio Holder for South Ayrshire Council presented the certificate to the young animators.

Councillor Convery said: "The Junior Road Safety Officers at Barassie Primary put a lot of thought, time and effort into making their animated Christmas E-Card. Creating an animation requires the use of many skills, such as design, construction, writing a storyline and actually filming. I would like to congratulate them on all their hard work."

Barassie pupils HAVE know all about road safety as the alleged safe route for most pupils involves crossing North Shore Road without any crossing patrol.
