Crewman injured after ferry rescue at Troon harbour
28 NovemberAn investigation has begun after a crewman was injured during efforts to free a ferry which ran aground on its way into Troon harbour.
Clyde Coastguard said a tow rope snapped during attempts to free the P&O ferry, Norcape, about 10pm on Sunday 27th November.
The crewman was taken to nearby Ayr Hospital after being struck by the rope. He has since been released.
