Entries open for Troon Tortoises 25th anniversary 10k

Entries are now open for Troon Tortoises' 25th anniversary 10k run - due to be held this year on Wednesday 5th May.

The race, which will incorporate the West District Championships will start at 7.30pm from the Walker Halls, and will have a limit of 1,000 competitors. Pre Entry by 30th April - please enter asap to avoid disappointment - there are strictly no entries on the night of the race. Entry costs £10 - £8 for Scottish Athletics members, and there will be prizes totalling £1,000 across seven age categories for both men an ladies.

All competitors must be at least 15 years old on the day of the race, but there are fun runs for under 12's at 6:45pm and under 8's at 6:50pm. Fun runners enter on the night of the race - entry £1 per competitor.

And even if you're not taking part, get along and support the runners on the route, for what is a great local event this year celebrating its 25th anniversary.
