Extra police patrols to tackle under-age drinking in Troon

  • New police patrols in Troon are targeting known drinking dens

Troon police will be putting on extra patrols to help beat under age drinking in the town this summer - with cops targeting known trouble spots.

Three areas have been selected for extra patrols - Fullarton Woods, Marr College grounds, and South Beach. As well as the patrols, police are attending local youth clubs, and calling on off licenses to make thorough ID checks.

The extra patrols will be carried out until the schools go back in August.
