Live@Troon festival organisers enjoying countdown to big music event
10 AugustWith the Live@Troon Music Festival less than four weeks away, the team were handing out leaflets at Morrisons in Troon last weekend.
Ken Grieg, festival vice chairman said: "The response to date from everyone questioned has been so positive and we are sure that the whole event will be a massive success."
Troon will be playing host to not only some of its own local talent but some of the finest young talent around including The Sunshine Underground and Pearl and the Puppets both recently returned with rave reviews from T in The Park.
There is something for everyone with concerts including the Glasgow Gospel Choir, Zuba (covering African and Western music), folk and big band as well as Troon's own Alan Frew.
Tickets are available through the web site www.liveattroon.com or from Lido's in Troon.
The event itself is run as an OSCR registered charity, any surplus proceeds being used to support music locally.
