Local plumber's invention puts safe water on tap

A Troon plumber is bringing safe water to Africa, and helping prevent water-borne illness with his new invention, the Jompy.

David Osborne's gadget will let local people heat water quickly on an open fire, saving fuel and keeping them safe from water-borne bacteria.

The Jompy will soon be on sale in Kenya, and looks set to transform lives.
