Lochend Road residents continue to fight mobile mast plans

  • Residents of Lochend Road are continuing their four-year fight against phone mast plans

Residents in Lochend Road in Troon are up in arms at plans to build a huge new phone mast in the street - saying that the 15-metre mast will ruin their lives.

The residents want phone companies Vodafone and O2 to find an alternative site for their huge pole.

The mast, which will enable 3G network coverage in the area, is to replace the 10-metre structure which currently sits on Lochend Road.

Residents, have waged a four-year fight against the original pole, and say they won't go down without a fight.

yes i totally agree, this mast would be total eyesore in the area , im willing to help with a petition of some sorts , if there is one , im the troon correspondent who does the troon notes section , and would be happy to , send them and email, with regards to this ,  if you want to email me with your concern , my email adress is in the troon times evry week, in the troon notes section.
