Marr College pupils' efforts crowned with Duke's award
5 MarchEleven pupils from Marr received their Silver awards at the presentation, with a further 39 receiving a bronze award.
Silver: Caitlin Balish, Jemma Brown, Claudia Cameron, Jordan Crowe,Katie Gilgallon, Jonathan Lappin, Hannah Lawrie, Emily McGarva, Deborah Nairn, Samantha Pake and Emma Reekie.
Bronze: Hannah Bairstow, Jessica Bairstow, Stephanie Batton, Alex Beckwith, Kristina Boyce, Alice Broomfield, Chelsea Christopher, Eilidh Cole, Erica Corbani, Rebecca Court, Fiona Cowan, Allison Craig, Eilidh Cruse, Lesley Currie, Jilly Davis, Emma Farnington, Jordan Flynn, Amy Galt, Bethany Helliwell, Gordon Hill, Amy Houston, Victoria Houston, Rebecca Lang, Laurie McKillop, Morvan McQueen, Hayley McRae, Kate Maxwell, Lucy Maxwell, Claire Minto, Darren Morgan, Jenna Morison, Fiona Pritchard, Beverley Rodger, Hannah Spicer, Cara Stevenson, Cara Swankie, Euan Webster, Rachel Whittle and Alastair Wilson.
They were presented with their awards by Alex Cumming Assistant Director of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards scheme in Scotland. This year 240 young people from across South Ayrshire achieved either a bronze, silver or gold award, up 34 per cent on last year.
