Round Table bringing a sparkling night of firework fun to Troon
31 OctoberEnjoy a great night of sparkling fireworks fun at the Troon Fireworks Display which has been arranged for Saturday 5th November, on the North Shore at 7pm for 7.30pm.
This great community event is organised by Troon Round Table, all ‘unpaid volunteers’ who also and also get a lot of help from the parents involved with the PTA’s, BB/ Pipe Band/ Scouts/ Rotary/ 41 Club etc. with stewarding and collecting on the night - so everyone is pulling together to make sure it happens.
The event is supported by main sponsors the Hillhouse Quarry Group, and the Round Table are grateful for all donations on the night – a suggested minimum ‘family donation’ of £5 would be gratefully received, and help to keep the event running in future.
Tom Atkinson, past chair of Troon Round Table said: “Troon RT underwrite the cost of the display (not the Council as many people seem to think!) and it costs £5000 for the display by a specialist fireworks company - usually after sponsorship and collections on the night the Table still make @£500-£1000 loss- but it is important to Troon RT that we ensure the town has its own display, as we know a lot of families attend and enjoy it, please help us to publicise this event so that we can sustain it.”
