Troon Team to Play for Scotland

The Troon petanque team called the 'Acorns' comprising of Brian Ward, Istvan Poka, Malcolm McKinlay and Jimmy Johnstone played in the Masters competition over Saturday and Sunday.

Held at Troon, the top twelve teams in Scotland played each other over the two days to determine what teams will represent Scotland in next year's internationals.

The Acorns were delighted to have passed the test and will be included in the Scottish team next year.

The first of the internationals will be the Celtic Challenge which will be held at Troon.
