Troon volleyball ladies return to Scottish Cup final

Troon PA ladies' volleyball club will defend their Scottish Cup title in the final against Su Ragazzi after they overcame Edinburgh Jets 3-1 in the semi-final on Sunday at the Kelvin Hall.

Troon beat the capital club 25-19, 25-12, 13-25, 25-20 in the semi, in a match which spectators said was a fabulous game to watch – with spectacular pick-ups in defence, and some very tactical and powerful hitting from both teams. However, Troon looked in control throughout the match.

The final will be played on the weekend of Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th April at Wishaw Leisure Centre.

The ladies also kept up their league title challenge with a win over Edinburgh Jets' 2nd team on Saturday, winning by three sets to one.

In league action, Troon's men went down 3-1 to Kilmarnock - 23-25, 25-18, 19-25, 18-25.
